Our photography experiences can be run on any day of the week, Mondays to Sundays. Photographers choose 6 species to photograph, from our available species, with a total duration of approximately 6 hours. This allows for ample time to photograph each species thoroughly. We don't clock watch so if you need a little longer we're happy to accommodate you.
Please note that our species are subject to availability, our animals are wild animals and don't perform on demand. Wildlife photography requires patience and perseverance. Start times are arranged according to your needs. We understand sweet light and are happy to start as early, or finish as late, as you need us to. Afternoon/evening sessions, or split days, are available by special request.
rates
Our rates work on a sliding scale depending on the number of photographers per session and exclusivity required.
Individual £495 per person - Exclusive use of our facilities by one photographer with a dedicated animal wrangler for the day. You set the pace.
2 people £260 per person - Exclusive use of our facilities for two photographers with a dedicated animal wrangler for the day. You set the pace.
3-4 people £210 per person - Small group use of our facilities by 3-4 photographers with a dedicated animal wrangler for the day. You set the pace.
5-8 people £165 per person - Group use of our facilities with a dedicated animal wrangler for the day. You set the pace.
Our bookings work on a first booked basis enabling you to choose the package and date that works for you. Payment is required on booking in order to secure your booking. Please use the relevant link above to make payment and contact us with the date, number of photographers and animals you would like to photograph.
Camera Clubs
We can accommodate a maximum of 8 photographers per animal wrangler. Larger groups will be split between the required number of animal wranglers. The day will be structured by your animal wrangler and animals will be chosen depending on group size and animal availability. Some animals are not available to groups due to their enclosure layout and shy nature, including Pine Marten and Stoat. Please contact us for more info about our Camera Club deals on offer.
8 members of Exeter Camera Club enjoyed a brilliant visit to the Westcountry Wildlife Photography centre. There is a good variety of mammals available to photograph, getting really close to wild cats, otters and foxes in their compounds. Nothing was too much trouble and even though the weather was against us we had a superb day and went home with some really good images.

We facilitate visits from a number of photography schools, workshops and tutors including:
Tuition with a local professional photographer Chris Robbins can be arranged for an additional £100 per session.
Natures Photos (Bob Brind-Surch) - "Secret British Mammals". A two day workshop, staying at local farmhouse accommodation.
Jessops Academy Course "British Wildlife Experience". A one day course led by a Jessops Academy Trainer.
Nature with Nick (Nick Withers) - "Wildlife Photography Tuition and Guiding". Full and half day courses offered.
Wild Aperture Tours (Tracey Lund) - "Devon Mammals" . A two day workshop led by Tracey Lund.
